ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Prof Miha Škerlavaj
Professor of Management at the School of Economics and Business University of Ljubljana
Miha Škerlavaj, PhD, is a professor of management at the School of Economics and Business University of Ljubljana and an adjunct professor of leadership and organizational behavior at BI Norwegian Business School. He is a valued teacher, workshop facilitator and awarded researcher who published in prestigious international research journals including the Academy of Management Journal, the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, the Leadership Quarterly and the Human Resource Management, and a book Capitalizing on creativity: Fostering the implementation of creative ideas at work.
His research was featured in global media such as The New York Times and Forbes. He is involved in several international research collaborations with colleagues from top global business schools. He has extensive practical experience through workshops, trainings and consulting assignments for clients in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, and China. He teaches PhD, EMBA, executive, and Master of Science programs in Europe and Asia and regularly facilitates workshops with practitioners on organizational development and change, leadership development, organizational culture, and creativity and innovation management-related topics.
Prof Andre Roux
Head: Teaching & Learning and Futures Studies programmes at Stellenbosch Business School
André Roux was the Director of the Institute for Futures Research (IFR) at the University of Stellenbosch from 1996 to August 2015. André is now in the full-time employ of the Stellenbosch Business School, where he lectures on economics. He also teaches on various executive education programmes in South Africa and, from time to time, in Australia, Mauritius, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria. André is a visiting professor at Vlerick Business School (Belgium) and at the Beijing Business School (China). He is also a guest lecturer on post-graduate programmes at the School of Public Management (Stell) and the Post-graduate diploma in Managing HIV and AIDS in the workplace. André holds a PhD in Economics and is responsible for more than 150 popular publications; 1 book (13th edition); 6 chapters in scientific books; 10 publications in scientific journals; 25 papers presented at domestic and international conferences. He is a regular guest on radio and television programmes. He has supervised 6 PhD theses and more than 150 postgraduate students. He was awarded a prize for best lecturer at the Business School (2016-2018).

Olusiji Aina

Olusiji Aina, is a Development Economists and Impact Investing Specialist. He is a strategist with professional competency in building strategic leaders, high impact market relevant skills for economic development, creating employment and promoting economic growth in Africa. Olusiji has headed several Multi-Million Dollar projects cut across several sectors including the CBN-NESI power sector intervention fund,USAID funded programs, World Bank, Google Safety and several other MFIs and DFIs intervention projects. Olusiji has over 20 years’ extensive professional work experience spanning Strategy, financial inclusion, renewable energy, project management, agribusiness, enterprise development, human capital development, and 10 years of extensive banking experience in Institutional and Commercial Banking.
Olusiji is a graduate of Statistics. He obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Finance from the Stellenbosch Business School South Africa, and EMP from Lagos Business School, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Development Economics at UNICAF University. He holds a Certificate in Enterprise Development through Value Chains and Market Systems from International Training Center of Turin, Italy; A Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA), Chartered Global Investment Analysts (CGIA), Associate, Chartered Institute of Economist of Nigeria (ICEN).
He received several global recognition awards which includes outstanding humanitarian work awarded by the Global Goodwill Ambassadors Foundation, United States, 2020. He was appointed Peace Ambassador by the United Nations Systems, ECOSOC Consultative Status (WOLMI), to promote international peace, and global education. Olusiji is a functional member in the Human Capital development, and Financial Inclusion & Financial Markets Thematic Groups of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG).
Olusiji teaches strategic leadership, sustainable local economic development, international trade finance, climate finance, corporate governance and policy and several other topics. He’s a regular speaker at international conferences which includes the United Nations climate conference, ANDE’s global conference, IMF Spring meetings among several others.
He is also the Co-Chairman Kogi State Economic Council, Board member – Kogi State Investment Promotion Council, Member – Kogi State Youth Development Commission. He was recently appointed as member of the Advisory Board of the US-Africa Trade Council to advise on the programs, policy leanings and the body of efforts to improve the trade traffic between US and Africa.
