Portfolio of programmes
International cooperation
Through its EQUIS and AMBA accreditations, the USB has ensured its place in the global network of top business schools. The school's partnership agreements with over 65 top schools in the UK, Europe, Australia, South America, the USA and Asia ensure regular student and faculty exchanges, both inbound and outbound international study programmes and tours, and more.
Thought leadership and research
Thought leadership and research are primary strategic objectives of the USB. Research is delivered by USB faculty, by PhD, MBA and other Master's students, and by the USB's research centres. This new knowledge is shared through three state-subsidised, peer-reviewed internationally acknowledged academic journals: South African Journal of Business Management, Journal for Studies in Economics and Econometrics, and The Investment Analysts Journal, as well as the USB's monthly Leader's Angle talks, the magazine USB Agenda, and the publication for managers, USB Leaders' Lab.
Engagement with the corporate world
Prominent international and local organisational leaders serve on the USB's Advisory Board. Corporates sponsor bursaries and support the school's social investment programmes. The executive development arm of the school delivers in-company programmes in South Africa and beyond its borders.
Engagement with alumni
The USB is extremely proud of its many graduates who have excelled to become admired leaders all over the world. The USB's alumni play an active part in the School's activities through the USB Alumni Association. Alumni initiated the Annual Gala Dinner to raise funds for the USB Future Fund.
