The National Health Insurance Bill and the Medical Schemes Bill
What does it mean for you?

On 21 June 2018, The National Health Insurance (NHI) bill was released to the public. It is the first standardised system to govern both state and private healthcare sectors in South Africa.

What does NHI mean for the relationship between state and private healthcare? What effect does this have on your medical aid? More importantly, will this universal system result in better healthcare for all South Africans across the breadline?

Join us at our next Leader’s Angle where we discuss, critique and make sense of South Africa’s possible trajectory towards universal health coverage, along with the National Minister of Health, Dr Pakishe Aaron Motsoaledi, Dr Boshoff Steenekamp of MMI Health, and Prof Ronelle Burger, economist at the University of Stellenbosch.

We look forward to hosting you.
