What is the true benefit behind coaching credentials? Why should coaches opt to get credentialed through one of the coaching bodies such as COMENSA, ICF or EMCC?

Cindy Muthukarapan

Master Certified Coach and ICF member

Cindy Muthukarapan is an internationally recognised and experienced executive and leadership coach, Trainer, Coach Assessor/Moderator, Mentor Coach and Program Director. She has been a member of the ICF since 2006 and credentialed by the International Coach Federation as a Master Certified Coach since 2014. She is a Past President of ICF South Africa Chapter and currently a Doc. Candidate  in Applied Leadership and Coaching.

Having been involved in the personal, social and professional development field for over thirty years, she brings to the table a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience in the areas of personal mastery, emotional intelligence, change management and leadership development.

André Retief

Life and Business Coach and NLP Practitioner

As a Change Facilitator, André Retief is passionate about people development and growth. He is a COMENSA Senior Coach and Credentialing Evaluator. He is the Founder and Director of AR Coaching Institute (Pty)Ltd, which conducts Coaching, Mentoring and started training coaches and mentors since 2017. His BCom in Marketing has enabled him to look at the coaching industry and develop solutions for coaches to develop and grow their coaching businesses.

He is a COMENSA Senior Coach, COMENSA Evaluator and Chair of the COMENSA MCSC (Membership Criteria and Standards of Competence) Committee. He is also a past COMENSA Gauteng Chapter Chair and National President. His has a passion for developing and growing people in business and personal and engages as an accountability partner to ensure the client achieves their desired outcome.

Dr Nicky Terblanche

Senior Lecturer and Research Supervisor at USB

Dr Nicky Terblanche is a senior lecturer and research supervisor on the MBA, MPhil in Management Coaching and PhD programmes at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB). His academic interests include both leadership coaching and information systems. He also runs an executive and leadership coaching practice.

He has an MPhil in Management Coaching, an MScEng in electronic engineering and a PhD in Business Management. His research interests include transition coaching, transformative learning, social network analysis, complexity theory and the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in coaching and management. He has published in several international academic journals and regularly presents at international conferences.
