The Mpumalanga Alumni Chapter is excited to host this evening Business Dialogue with political analyst Dr Piet Croucamp who will discuss, Invisible Politics and Unintended Outcomes: The Rise and Fall of President Cyril Ramaphosa.

DATE: Thursday, 2 August 2018
TIME: 17h30 – 21h00
VENUE: Multipurpose Centre of the Dutch Reformed Congregation Church Complex cnr of Coen Britz and Goddefroy Streets Secunda 2302. The gate in Goddefroy street will be open and signage will point you to the multipurpose centre.

Dr Piet Croucamp

Political analyst

Piet Croucamp taught various subjects related to the state and the economy for 24 years at three universities. He currently teaches courses in critical thinking at the Northwest University’s Mafikeng Campus. His academic interest are conflict and violence in contested confines, electoral systems, and liberal democratic experiments.

He taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and more than 20 students completed advanced research (Masters and Doctoral) under his supervision at various universities.

His research has been published in national, as well as international academic journals.
He was presenter of various radio and television programmes with a political content as well as a television series on mega-agriculture. He made more than 300 presentations on politics, economics and agriculture over the past five years and is a regular commentator in the national as well as international media.
