We’re hosting a LIVE ideas pitching session with real investors where you can learn how to pitch for funding, meet investors and alumni entrepreneurs, and gather crucial lessons from our keynote speaker, Marnus Broodryk.

MC & Guest Speaker: Seraj Toefy, Managing Director at Bespoke Media, Facilitator, Lecturer

Seraj is a marketer, publisher and businessman who has honed his skills through a journey of diverse companies that include Shell SA, Mweb, Burns Strategic Planning, Touchline Media and Media24. He has been publisher of some of the leading lifestyle brands in South Africa that include Men’s Health, Women’s Health, MH Living, Best Life, Runner’s World, Bicycling, Discovery, BA Horizons and Khuluma. Seraj also lectures Entrepreneurship at University of Stellenbosch on the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management. (source)

 

Keynote speaker: Marnus Broodryk, self-made millionaire, Shark Tank SA ‘shark’ & author of “90 Rules for Entrepreneurs”

Marnus Broodryk made his first million at 24-years old, and was the youngest ever Shark on Shark Tank South Africa. He has graced the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine and is an advocate for small businesses, has invested in them and also hosts a weekly show for small business on KykNET’s Winslyn. (source: speaker’s own bio)

 

Guest Speaker: Brandon Paschal,

Brandon is currently Incubation Manager at the Stellenbosch University LaunchLab.  He runs all of their startup programmes that help founders and teams design value propositions business models and strategies.  He has worked with 155 founders and teams and seen companies raise more than R100m in risk capital. Brandon has spoken at several startup and innovation events, including the University Business Incubator Global (UBI) Summit, Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA) and the South African Innovation Summit (SAIS). Brandon’s expertise is in the South African startup ecosystem (not to be confused with small business or enterprise development) as well as organisational culture design. (source: speaker’s own bio)
