INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS OFFICE

Our International Affairs Office
is ready to assist students from
all across the globe

Our mission is to enhance USB’s international networks and build the school’s international profile. We support the internationalisation activities of the business school in the following ways:

We initiate, develop and implement the internationalisation of USB’s core activities of research, teaching and learning, and social impact

We develop sustainable alliances, partnerships and collaboration to support these core activities

We enhance the dedicated support services platform to promote USB’s global engagement activities on campus, in the local community, in the region and in Africa and beyond

We integrate a global engagement dimension into the student experience at USB, in particular by instituting and enriching the notion of internationalisation-at-home

We facilitate
the development of scholarship in Africa

The International Affairs Office is a support services division within USB. The office also contributes to the institutional objectives of Stellenbosch University.

USB’s International Partner Business Schools

USB has partnership agreements with more than 65 leading business schools around the world. They can be found in Europe, the United Kingdom, North and South America, Africa and Asia. These partnership agreements are managed by USB’s International Affairs Office.

Through these partnerships, we:

  • Cooperate on academic programmes and facilitate faculty exchange opportunities
  • Conduct joint research projects
  • Structure programmes for international visiting student groups
  • Facilitate exchange opportunities for USB students

Below are the business schools around the world with which USB has partnership agreements.

Faculty Mobility

International exposure and the sharing of knowledge are increased through the exchange of academics between partner business schools. That is why the International Affairs Office assists academics from international business schools to lecture on USB’s programmes and why we facilitate opportunities for USB’s faculty members to lecture at international business schools. We also support faculty mobility that leads to undertaking joint research, strengthening international networks and participating in joint projects. In addition, faculty members from international institutions may apply to join USB as visiting faculty members.
