Travelling further out, students can explore the rich natural, cultural and historic beauty of Cape Town. Get in touch with nature by taking a trip up Table Mountain, visiting Cape Point, or wandering through the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Discover the deep historical heritage of the city by visiting the Castle or Iziko Museums, or catch a ferry to Robben Island. For those with an interest in more contemporary culture, be sure to take a trip to the winelands to discover why the Cape Winelands is renowned across the world, or book a show at the Artscape, Fugard or Baxter Theatres.

The university town of Stellenbosch is known for its cultural heritage, beautiful buildings, café culture, vineyards and surrounding mountains. It also has the oldest wine route in South Africa.
