PGDip
You are a junior or midlevel manager who is interested in a career in development finance, the financial services industry or public institutions.
MPhil
You work on a managerial level in a financial services environment. This MPhil holds value for people like financial analysts and policy makers in the private or public sector who engage with macro, enterprise and sectoral finance and financial management issues with a focus on developing countries and emerging markets.

You want to do specialised doctoral research to support the growth agendas of South

DEVELOPMENT FINANCE
This one-year programme is presented in blended learning format. Block 1 at the start of the year consists of 1 week on campus for orientation and lectures, followed by a series of online classes. Block 2 consists of 2
weeks of on-campus
classes.
MPHIL IN
DEVELOPMENT FINANCE

PHD IN
DEVELOPMENT FINANCE
In your first year, attend 2 blocks (of 2 weeks each) on campus, leading to the submission of your comprehensive PhD proposal. From your second year onwards, you will undertake supervised research, culminating
in a PhD.

The blended learning format allows you to join the class either via an internet-linked device, or on campus. Online classes are delivered synchronously with on-campus classes.
USB’s high-tech classrooms allow the lecturers to see, in real time, the faces of all the online students portrayed onto a screen or class room wall. This virtual environment enables you to actively participate in classroom discussions – whether you are logging in from an airport in Europe, a boardroom in Africa or your office at home.
