What can Africa contribute to the Fourth Industrial Revolution?

USB Alumni Webinar with Prof Martin Butler
Facilitated by USB Alumni Ghana Chapter

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is set to reshape the world, and the current COVID-19 crises only accelerated the digitalisation of many business processes and even products and customer value.

However, the 4IR is more than digitisation it includes the creation of cyber-physical systems and the reshaping of the economic structure and society at large. Will Africa, like the previous industrial revolutions, again be a late consumer that at times reluctantly is shaped by the 4IR, or do we have a contribution to make?
