The Namibia Alumni Chapter is hosting a breakfast discussion with Chie Wasserfall, Chief Executive Officer of the Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) on Friday, 29 June 2018. She will discuss the National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) and Namibia’s road to industrialisation. Overall, the NQI’s main objective is to improve the quality of life of its citizens.

Chie Wasserfall
CEO of the Namibian Standards Institution (NSI)

Chie Wasserfall is the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) since 1 August 2015. She is an electronics engineer by profession and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB. Before joining the NSI, Chie was part of the top management of the Namibia’s national telecommunications operator, Telecom Namibia and had been in the company for 21 years. She has been in strategic management position for 17 years and therefore has extensive experience in strategic planning, policy formulation and project management amongst others. Prior to that, she was a senior lecturer at the Polytechnic of Namibia. Chie loves camping not only to de-stress but also to enjoy the simplicity of life.
