Dr Jako Volschenk

Programme Head: MBA at Stellenbosch Business School

Dr Jako Volschenk’s research focuses on how business can create a better world, specifically from a multistakeholder value creation perspective.

Jako consults ‒ and has published ‒ in the areas of strategy, environmental sustainability, and energy policy. Most of his consulting work focuses on strategy but using sustainability as virtuous instigator. By helping companies to position themselves within the grand challenges posed by the Sustainable Development Goals, helps them to find new opportunities, while also attracting the best talent.


Mignon du Preez

Executive: Marketing Public Affairs and Sustainability at Old Mutual

Mignon is a talented and results-driven leader skilled in strategic leadership, marketing, business development, focused client and industry growth projects and business transformation. She holds over 15 years of professional strategy, marketing, business development and business transformation experience.

Academically, Mignon holds an MBA from the Cardiff Metropolitan University, a Masters in Strategy and Innovation from the Westford University Executive Programme, an International Marketing Higher Certificate and International Management Certificate from the Institute of International Marketing and Management (IMM), and a Change Management Certification from the University of Cape Town.

Mignon is proficient in enabling substantial company and market growth through innovative marketing and strategy formulation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and championing sustained professional brand representation. She holds a comprehensive background in identifying, developing, and managing business strategies, relationships, and projects, which allows her to drive true business transformation.

Mignon is a highly motivated and inspiring individual with the capacity to take on complex challenges and create success in executing new concepts. She is adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and plans that align fully with the company’s business priorities.

Dino Ballotti

Executive Director: MSME Development, Innovation, and Acceleration at NIPDB

Dino Ballotti is the Executive Director responsible for the MSME Development, Innovation, and Acceleration mandate at the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB). He has recently served as the Vice Chair of the 4IR Task Force, commissioned by His Excellency, President Dr Hage G. Geingob, where the task force presented a comprehensive country readiness assessment.

Before joining the NIPDB, Ballotti spent little under a decade in the insurance and investment sector, serving in various capacities ranging, most notable as Business Development Executive at Old Mutual Investment Group. Dino possesses a Master’s in Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation from the University of Witwatersrand and is currently a PhD candidate with his research focused on entrepreneurial ecosystems in Namibia.

Nawa Likando

Head: Digital Strategy, Transformation, and Innovation, MTC

Nawa Likando is a Digital Strategy, Transformation, and Innovation expert with extensive experience in telecommunications. He leads the strategic development, projects and partnership initiatives aimed at driving industry 4.0 as well as industry-academic collaboration in Namibia through the MTC-NUST HTTPS tech innovation hub. With a keen interest in leveraging global and local perspectives toward technology, he is passionate about transforming Namibia and Africa at large into an inclusive digital economy.

Armin Wieland

Founder & MD V5 Digital

Armin is an experienced Digital Marketer with a demonstrated history of working across industry verticals. He is skilled in Digital Transformation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Digital Strategy, Customer Experience, Innovation and Ideation, Marketing Automation, Business Informatics and Business Processes, Break-through start-up Entrepreneurship, Project and Campaign Management.

Jesaya Hano-Oshike

Head of Business Development at StartUp Namibia

Jesaya Hano-Oshike Investment professional with experience in bank treasury management, private equity/venture capital and investment advisory. Proven leadership at board level in several private and civic organisations including Physically Active Youth (PAY), I-Inspire Movement, Auas Rotary Club, Economic Association of Namibia (EAN) and Namibia Business Angel Network (NABAN).

Kenneth Matomola


Kenneth Matomola has a wealth of experience in both strategic and technical management, having held various positions at the Bank of Namibia, First National Bank, and NAMFISA prior to assuming the position of CEO.

Mr Matomola holds degrees from Harvard, the University of London, UCT, and UNAM, among others. He leads the Authority’s transformational agenda and ensures that NAMFISA fulfills its statutory mandate.


Denille Roostee

Marketing & Communications Manager: Sanlam Namibia

Denille Roostee manages the marketing and communication efforts for Sanlam Namibia as the Marketing & Communications Manager. In Namibia, she has accumulated a decade of experience in the field of marketing and advertising. She worked in the insurance industry for the duration of her career, first as a marketing consultant and later as Old Mutual’s global marketing manager.

In the three years since she has made Sanlam her home. She just finished up with the University of Stellenbosch’s MBA degree, where she served on the student leadership council and is now the Vice Chairperson of the Namibian Alumni. She’s particularly interested in how cutting-edge software may help businesses expand into previously untapped sectors while promoting social cohesion. Denille is a member of Sanlam’s Innovation Committee, where she advocates for Namibia’s innovation projects on a Pan-African scale.
