Join us for this Masterclass on FinTech and Development Finance presented by Prof Meshach Aziakpono and Hakeem Olopade. Prof Aziakpono will follow with a short Programme Information Session towards the end on the MBA and Development Finance programmes. A Programme Information session on Stellenbosch Business School programmes 2023, focusing on Development Finance and the MBA programmes, will be included. Prof Meshach Aziakpono

Professor of Development Finance at the Stellenbosch Business School

Meshach Aziakpono (PhD) is a Professor of Development Finance. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Statistics with a Second Class Hons Upper Division in 1994 at the University of Benin; a Master of Science degree in Economics in 1998 at the University of Ibadan, and a PhD in Economics in 2008 at the University of the Free State. His research has focused on the broad areas of financial integration and financial sector development and monetary policy issues in Africa with strong emphasis in applied econometrics.

Hakeem Olopade

Executive Director, Projects & Advisory

Hakeem Olopade has over 15 years of experience gained in project management practice at PA Consulting Group, UK and in investment banking at First City Monument Bank, Nigeria, where he was part of the team responsible for project and structured finance transactions in excess of US$1billion with focus on infrastructure and real estate development.

He is a prize winning chartered accountant, registered with the Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics & Extension from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and an MBA from Imperial College Business School, UK.
