World Economic Forum’s Values and the Fourth Industrial Revolution – with Dr Daniel Malan as lead author
The World Economic Forum’s White Paper on Values and the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Connecting the Dots between Value, Values, Profit and Purpose has just been released. One of the critical functions of the Forum is integrating universal human values into business, government and civil society engagement. This report embodies two years of work by the Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Values. Given the Fourth Industrial Revolution’s rapid technological and social change, relying only on government legislation is ill advised. Operating with a clear foundation of values is the best way to ensure positive outcomes. Hence, the report focuses on an understanding of the shared human values critical for today’s world. The lead author is Dr Daniel Malan, director of USB’s Centre for Corporate Governance in Africa. Download report here.
