Academic research

The creation of new knowledge is a primary strategic objective of the USB. This research is delivered via:
  • Papers in academic journals, books and conference papers by USB faculty
  • The research projects of USB's PhD, MBA, MDevF and MPhil students
  • The research undertaken by USB's centres and units

"Creating new knowledge"

This new knowledge is used to update the contents of the USB's MBA and other programmes. It is also shared with students, alumni and the public through the following publications and events:

  • Three state-subsidised, peer-reviewed internationally acknowledged academic journals: South African Journal of Business Management, Journal for Studies in Economics and Econometrics, and The Investment Analysts Journal.
  • The publication USB Leaders' Lab, through which new knowledge is made accessible to managers.
  • The monthly Leader's Angle speaker events.
