Learning outcomes
The USB's MBA aims to deliver graduates with the following capabilities:
In essence, the USB’s leadership-focused MBA is about criticality and an astute understanding of how to manage a business responsibly in an African and global, multicultural environment.
Critical thinking skills
This important part of the USB MBA consists of learning areas focused on how to lead yourself, how to lead groups, how to lead an organisation, and how to lead in a community:
Leadership skills
The USB believes leaders are grown, not born. The comprehensive Leadership module, which spans the entire MBA, covers Personal Authentic Leadership, Leading with Others, Leading the Organisation and Leading in Society. The USB’s multi-method approach to leadership development includes leadership assessments, a class programme (modules and electives), dialogues with faculty members and peers, feedback sessions, case studies, reflective essays and personal journaling.
Sustainable high-impact leadership consists of integrative competencies that can be developed.
