Modulêr MBA - Afrikaans

Hierdie Modulêre blokprogram oor 3 jaar stel bestuurders in staat om die klasprogram by te woon sonder te veel inbreuk op hul werkverpligtinge, ongeag waar hulle woon. Die program begin in Februarie. (Daar is ook twee Engelse Modulêre MBA-programme – een begin in Januarie en een in Junie.)

Studente moet 11 blokke ('n oriëntasieblok plus 10 blokke van 6 dae elk) op kampus oor 2,5 jaar bywoon. Hulle moet dan die res van die 3-jaar tydperk gebruik om hul navorsingsverslae klaar te maak. Die grootste deel van die klasprogram bestaan uit selfstudie. Die dosente gee aan die einde van elke blok werkopdragte wat vir die volgende blok voltooi moet word.

Klasse word hoofsaaklik in Afrikaans aangebied behalwe waar die dosente (wat byvoorbeeld van die buiteland kom) nie Afrikaans verstaan nie. Dit maak die USB die enigste bestuurskool in die land wat kontaksessies in Afrikaans aanbied (residensiële MBA). Dit stel ook Afrikaanssprekende studente in staat om hul MBA in hul huistaal te doen terwyl hulle voltyds werk. Deelnemers aan hierdie program moet tweetalig wees (Afrikaans en Engels).

Die struktuur en inhoud van die modulêre kursus is dieselfde as dié van die voltydse en deeltydse kursusse.

Modular

Modular MBA – English

This Modular (block release) programme over 3 years enables managers to attend the class programme without infringing too much upon their work obligations, irrespective of where they live. The one Modular MBA programme commences in March and the other in June. Both are in English. (A further Modular MBA programme presented mainly in Afrikaans commences in February.)

Students need to attend 11 blocks of six days each on campus over 2,5 years. The remainder of the 3-year period must be used to complete their research reports. The greater part of the class-session programme comprises individual study. At the end of each block, lecturers set assignments to be completed for the following session.

The structure and content of the Modular course is identical to that of the Full-time and Part-time courses.

MBA Modular – English (March)
First year (2010) of 2,5-year class programme:

  • Orientation: 3 – 6 March
  • Term 1: 19 – 24 April
  • Term 2: 26 – 31 July
  • Term 3: 11 – 16 October

MBA Modular – English (June)
First year (2010) of 2,5-year class programme:

  • Orientation: 2 – 5 June
  • Term 1: 2 – 7 August
  • Term 2: 1 – 6 November
