Admission requirements
Admission criteria for the USB's MBA include:
- Mathematics at school exit level
- The SHL or GMAT selection test
- Relevant academic qualifications and work experience:
- A recognised bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification,
and at least 3 years of Full-time work experience.
- A 3-year national diploma or equivalent qualification
approved by Stellenbosch University, and at least 6 years of full-
time work experience.
- Three motivational essays of 250 words each on your competencies, career objectives and personal motivation, plus a full CV.
Lacking mathematical and/or financial know-how?
If you have a non-mathematical and non-financial background and would like to prepare yourself for MBA subjects such as Statistics, Operational Research and Financial Management, you can prepare yourself by following the five-day MBA Foundation Programme before the start of the MBA.
No degree - Recognition of Prior Learning candidate?
If you do not have a degree but have 10 years of Full-time work experience, of which at least 5 years are in management, and a GMAT score of at least 550, you may apply to join the USB's MBA based on Stellenbosch University's Assessment and Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) policy.
