Managing International

Learn how to LEAD in a complex

The MBA MIO – a joint initiative of USB and UNSSC

The University of Stellenbosch Business School and the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) have co-designed an MBA with specialist modules in the management of international organisations.

The MBA MIO stream therefore equips managers and leaders with the tools, theories and frameworks to lead successfully in a complex global environment.

The programme allows insight into organisations, such as the United Nations,
which play a fundamental role in shaping international business, policies, development and society.

The programme benefits from UNSSC’s experience and network of senior UN leaders contributing to the delivery of the modules and serving as research supervisors

The modules and electives focused on Managing International Organisations are offered during the second year of enrolment in the Blended Learning format.

Why USB?

USB was the first school from an African university to receive all three international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Together, the three accreditation bodies look at business schools from three different geographical and quality perspectives to give you an independent and world-benchmarked view of our programmes. USB’s programmes are underpinned by a global perspective combined with unique African contextualisation.

Our students regularly mention collaborative learning with fellow students from different industry backgrounds and geographies as one of the highlights of their learning journey.

USB forms part of Stellenbosch University – the strongest research university in Africa. In 2018, Stellenbosch University will be celebrating its 100-year anniversary. The business school is centrally located in northern Cape Town, which is half way between Cape Town’s central business district and the university town of Stellenbosch.
