USB's Management Programme for Non-profit Organisations
One of the USB's oldest social-impact projects is its five-day Management Programme for NPOs aimed at NPO or NGO managers. This programme, which is offered at a reduced fee, enhances managerial effectiveness, service delivery and good governance in the NPO sector. It also deals with the competency to attract, secure and retain funding. This programme is organised by a committee of USB alumni with support from USB-ED and external sponsors. Classes are presented mainly by USB lecturers and alumni.
"Crucial management skills for NPO managers"
After successfully delivering this programme since 2000, a follow-up programme has been developed under the auspices of USB-ED and its Centre for Business and Society. This new programme – NPO Leadership and Strategy Programme – focuses on how to lead change and implement strategy amidst complex community dynamics.
